About Us

Wisconsin Street in the early 1900s

Our History

In 1918, the residents of Elkhorn, Wisconsin got together and built a factory to attract a manufacturer from Chicago. Their forward thinking and hard work lead to an unprecedented period of prosperity for the rural Wisconsin city when Holton Instruments relocated its operations. There was a housing boom, a thriving downtown, and a proud sense of gumption.

Over the last twenty years, the horn factory and the buildings at the city center had largely fallen into disrepair. Once again, a team of local entrepreneurs have rolled up their sleeves to make a positive difference. City Square Hub is the culmination of those efforts starting with the transformation of three consecutive addresses on North Wisconsin Street. This concentration of many small businesses is focused on delivering style and well being to Elkhorn.

Where You Come In

Stop by in person!  Like or review our member businesses on Facebook and Yelp! Tell your friends.

Top notch businesses are moving to Elkhorn.  We are breathing new life into dilapidated buildings and revitalizing a depressed city center.  The success of our local entrepreneurs benefit nearby small local businesses as City Square Hub patrons stop off for a cup of coffee, lunch, and to browse retail shops.  As our members succeed; we will continue to invest in the restoration of our historic downtown.  The tax base will rise and our community can begin to prosper both financially and in spirit as it once did.

If you currently own or are looking to start a local business; contact us.  We currently have space available and we are excited to dive into more commercial renovation projects. We could build out an amazing new space specifically for you! We do the heavy lifting and then we lease the gorgeous, feature rich, top-quality spaces at rates which are competitive with neglected properties near by.

We are in this to make a difference, not a fortune.
